Help for design the size of the RAC

3273521Feb 13 2019

We need to install a RAC on our Oracle PCA.

The database must do the size of 2TB or 3TB.

I need to help to design the size of all disks.

We use a ZFS Appliance to store all the disks.

According to the white paper : Create external redundancy disk groups when using high-end storage arrays. High-end storage arrays generally provide hardware RAID protection. Use Oracle ASM mirroring redundancy when not using hardware RAID, or when you need host-based volume management functionality, such as mirroring across storage systems. You can use Oracle ASM mirroring in configurations when mirroring between geographically-separated sites (extended clusters).

I understand that we do not need ASM mirroring when using a ZFS appliance, right ?

For the size of our database, how many disk (and how size should) I create for each group below ?

» Cluster Ready Services:

» Recovery

» Data

Thanks
