DevOps, CI/CD and Automation

I have few questions on HeadStart.I have 2 years exp. working in Or. Designer.But I haven't worked in HeadStart or even heard abt it before.
Here are the few questions I have :

1. Why should we use HeadStart?
Is it just to accelerate the performance of Oracle Designer with 2 components:
a.HS Template Package which includes templates, pl/sql libraries, object libraries, preference sets, a foundation application, and a demo application to generate forms that are compliant with Oracle's Custom Development Methodology (CDM)and
b.HS Utilites with Productivity boosters to boost the performace of Designer and Quality Assurance Check to enforce CDM standards.

2. What is the HeadStart/Forms/Database Compatibility Matrix?
Pls. Tell me the versions of HeadStart along with th Compatible versions of Designer/Forms/RDBMS
-like we have
Oracle database 8i (release 8.1.7.4.1)
Forms Developer 6i (release 6.0.8.15.0)
Headstart 2.1.2 (release 2.1.2.0.2 + patch10)

3. Is HeadStart 6i only compatible with Forms6i ?
or
Can we make HeadStart 2.1.2 compatible with Forms 6i by means of a patch 10 application?.If not,what is the purpose of a patch file?
