having a problem installing oracle 12c on redhat volume size problems

i keep receiving an error running runinstaller. 'Insufficient disk space on this volume for the selected oracle home. The path for the Oracle base is

/home/systemname/app/systemname. What can I do to fix this? How can I place /home on a different volume.
