hash (md5) utility

Hi,

I need to write a batch program in PL/SQL to read a file and then encrypt some informations before storing in the oracle tables. The only requirement is to use 3rd party hash (md5) utility to encrypt informations. How do i use 3rd party hash utility in the pl/sql codes? is this even possible to use some 3rd party utility in pl/sql? I would really appreciate for your input/suggestions/advise.
