Hardware requiremt to run RAC 11G on linux uisng VMware

Can you please suggest a hardware set up for testing RAC on Linux using VMware? I am planning to buy one machine from Dell just for this purpose.
Desktop or small server?
what are the requirement for:
Ram, Processor, number and size of hard drives (type of hard drive and controller), Ram
