Guide for using RMAN with third-party backup tools

Hi,

Does anyone know of a book, white paper, or other information source that provides good advice on using RMAN along with a third-party backup tool that is non RMAN-aware (for example, Microsoft Data Protection Manager)? I've found a few posts to this discussion list that address specific questions but am looking for something more comprehensive.
