Java SE (Java Platform, Standard Edition)

Hello everyone,

I've created a card game using Java which used to run perfectly under Microsoft VM, until Microsoft stopped distributing the VM with windows XP. Now users of the website are facing problems with the Java plug in which is supposed to work better!

The applet works fine under applet viewer on all JDK versions I'v used so far, from V 1.2 to V 1.4.1, it works fine with JRE up to Version 1.3 only! when using version 1.4 or 1.4.1 you will notice a slow down when trying to play a card.

I found many complaints about java 1.4 and AWT in both the java forum and bug database, but what isn't going into my mind is, why isn't the JRE working like appletviewer? Any thoughts or suggestions?
