Guest time on Oracle VM 2.2

692085Oct 29 2009 — edited Dec 11 2009
Hi everybody,

I have a guest vm setup on Oracle VM 2.2 running fine, however the guest clock is five hours ahread of the current time. I have adjusted the timezone in the guest vm and set the right time in the guest OS. When I do that the guest keeps the correct time untill I reboot the guest then the time revert back to being 5 hours ahread. I think Xen uses qemu for hardware emulation is there a way to make sure that qemu sets a guest vm time to local time? I know in VMware a guest vm has "virtual cmos" settings. Is this the same in Xen? Hoping someone can help me with this. I am hoping I dont' have to use NTP on all my guest vm. The OS for the guest vm I'm talking about is FreeBSD.
