Guest Linux rescue mode

Newbie question, I know

But I've screwed up the fstab in my guest OS (RHEL 5) and i need to go into rescue mode
to fix it. If i let it boot normally, I end up in a mode where the file system is
read only and so cant fix fstab, fortunately the / partition is ok
