Oracle Linux 8 running RHCK 4.18.0-553.40.1.el8_10.x86_64.
I have both UEK and RHCK kernels installed but defaulting to RHCK (Have run grubby --set-default /boot/LATEST) . When I update the kernel and reboot, the system defaults back to the UEK kernel. I have to run the grubby command again to set the default to the new RHCK.
What causes this? Is it due to the index order? Does the OS default to whatever is in index=0 after dnf updates to the kernel? If so, how does one make the RHCK be in the index=0 location? If not, is this a bug that is causing the wrong kernel to be invoked after a DNF kernel update?
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
