Grid upgrade: [INS-43100] Insufficient space available in the ASM diskgroup VOTING

raulk89Mar 15 2017 — edited Mar 24 2017

Hi

From Doc ID 1929754.1

[INS-43100] Insufficient space available in the ASM diskgroup VOTING

Action -  Add additonal disks to the diskgroup such that the total size should be at least 4,424 MB

Solution:

For External redundancy diskgroup - At least 4 GB for a cluster with 4 nodes or less (3.3 GB + 400 MB + 300 MB). Additional space required for clusters with 5 or more nodes.

If I understand correctly this insufficient space comes from MGMTDB: "Caused by new MGMTDB database created in the OCR diskgroup. This DB is used to store the Cluster Health Monitor repository."

I have 2 nodes, but will this starts to grow also (cluster health monitoring repository), meaning, that maybe after some time the 4gb size is not enough..?

(trying to be prepared, if it grows then, I would add more space just to be safe side)

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Raul
