Greenplum Database VS Oracle Database

Hi Guru's

I just came to know about Greenplum Database, i talked to one of the professional who is working over green plum database.He told me that for datawarehouse application it is better to use green plum as it is free source and is provide approx same performance for DB query. I want to know how Greenplum is better than Oracle.

Can anyone help me over the same.
