GoldenGate vs RAC on stretch cluster

Hi all,

Which technology should we choose if there is two data centers connected with 10Ge Dark Fiber. The distance between the servers are 13 km. Both servers should be in active mode. I assume both RAC in extended cluster mode and GoldenGate replication would be a viable solution. What are the pros and cons for each?
Of course it is a requirement that any site failure shouldn't affect the other site. As I understand, GoldenGate should be defended by a failover cluster (clusterware) solution on both sites.

Looking for any input!
