We use Classic configuration for Goldengate. Business want to do a mass migration to our Siebel DB using the Siebel EIM loaders, but they want to disable Archivelog to make the load faster.
1.) They want to know if we can stop Goldengate Extract, put DB in noarchivelog mode, load data for a few hours, enable archivelog mode, start the Extract. Will Goldengate be able to extract the correct data?
2.) Does Goldengate Integrated method also need Archivelog mode as a prerequisite?
3.) Related to Goldengate Extract reliability - if Extract abends & gets restarted a few days later, but the Archivelogs are already removed from the system. Will Goldengate be able to extract the necessary changes needed?
