Goldengate replication changes after Database switchover/failover

3134296Feb 8 2018 — edited Apr 11 2018

Hi,

We are having a planned dataguard switchover/failover for one of our main production databases next week for maintances..

Since we have a Golden Gate set up on the current primary, once we switchover/failover to the standby,do i need to gracefully move the extract to the standby server ( which will be the new primary then ).

we have classic golden gate setup with version Version 12.2.0.1.1...

How will find the exact point ( like RBA, Sequence, SCN ) at which I need to restart the extract on the new primary ? I know I need to logdump the latest trailfile.

But If anyone can give me the exact steps, it will be great.

Thanks,

Mallikarjun
