Goldengate operating system support versions fo oracle database

User_SPNMXMay 2 2016 — edited May 2 2016

Hi Guys,

I am planning to build golden gate for redundancy.

Existing setup:   Existing non-redundant setup is based on DL 380 G7, Solaris 10 x86, P2000 array and oracle 10g.The existing HBA card drivers will not be compatible with newer 11.2 OS hence I cannot upgrade it to Solaris 11.2 but I can change OS to RHEL 6.5.

New redundant setup:  New setup can be Solaris 11.2 x86 or RHEL 6.5 , because it is DL 380 G9

Can you guys brief me which is the best option for build golden gate. Is the different OS versions compatible for GG. Is the databases with 10g(source) to 12c(target) replication will work, and which version of the GG is best

Thanks,

Vikas
