GlassPane suggestions

843804Jul 12 2005 — edited Jul 12 2005
I'm making a card game with 5 JPanels, one for each of the four sides of the table and one for the center. What I want to do is be able to take a card out of one of the side panels (hands) and move them to the center panel (playing table). I want to be able to drag cards smoothly over the 5 panels and drop them on the table.

From what I've seen on google, I'm going to need to use a glassPane to do this. My question is, what is the best way to impliment what I want. I've seen many examples on how to use glasspanes, but all seem to be too complicated for what I need. Also, I've seen many different ways of doing this, from using getGlassPane() on a JFrame to making my own GlassPane.

Has anyone done this before? I just need someone to point me to the "right" direction.

Thanks all.
