Gig E interface on an e450

I have been asked by the backup team to see if I can install a gig e interface card for backups on 4 e450's. Currently, the active interface is the primary one.

The O/S ranges from solaris 6 to solaris 8.

What gotchas could I be facing here? 2 e450s are clustered, the other 2 are standalone. Other than the card, would there be any other hardware (expansion kits, etc...) needed to make this work?
