GFS on Linux?
Hello -
I have a standard "Oracle only" cluster stack running my RAC cluster. Dev is now giving a requirement that they want an app server to be able to communicate with the RAC nodes via a GFS clustered file system. This is for handling files that will get loaded into the database. The database storage is on ASM, and the clustering is Oracle Clusterware. If this GFS filesystem is used just to transfer files before they are loaded into the DB, is it a good practice? My concern is that even though the RAC cluster does not directly use the GFS, that it may somehow cause problems on the RAC cluster?
Thanks,
Mike
