Getting Started with J3D

Can anybody please point me in the direction of some good J3D examples? I've searched all over for good example code; I found this:

https://j3d-webstart.dev.java.net/test/

which contains some pretty good runnable j3d applets...I figured if I could find source for these I would be good to go for a while (just starting up with J3D, if you hadn't figured that out already); but I couldn't find any source codes.

So, any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any pointers in good directions.
