Getting no results in constrained prompts

Dear experts,

I have two prompts on dashboard that are set to constrained. When we select a value 'A' in first prompt, the second prompt does not return any data. I understand constrained prompts, however, i know that database has data for selected constrained, yet the second prompt is blank. Can any one point me in the right direction here?
