Getting iwp driver to work with the Centrino Advanced N6235

YTC1Mar 29 2013
I expect the answer is no, but will anyone be making any tweaks to the iwp driver to allow it to work with the N6235, the man page says it will work with the 6000 range but it appears to not work with anything later.

Details would appear to have been seen with illumos https://www.illumos.org/issues/1756 and a workaround posted. And yes, I have tried the driver :-)

My laptop is a Toshiba Tecra R940, everything seems to work except wireless, I am willing to change the wireless chip if need be but would prefer to see if the driver will be updated.

The scanpci output

pci bus 0x0004 cardnum 0x00 function 0x00: vendor 0x8086 device 0x088e
Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235

I added with update_drv

The system outputs this message

iwp: [ID 330255 kern.warning] WARNING: iwp_set_chip_param(): Do not support this device
