Get status of last run apex automation

hello Team,

We want to notify our team when apex automation execution fails.Currently OOb we can abort/disable/ignore on error.We wanted to check last status of specific automation and send email.please let us know how we can achieve it.i did check APEX_AUtomation package and don't see information on getting status.We can get timestamp though.
