Can anyone confirm if this is the correct way to get the server time in UTC, irrespective of server & client time zone settings, and daylight savings ?
SELECT SYS_EXTRACT_UTC(SYSTIMESTAMP) as UTC FROM dual;
Does this still work correctly during the hour when daylight saving switches forward/back ? i.e. doesn't hit this problem
