Dear RAC Experts,

Can anyone elaborate little bit regarding following statements.

GES performs concurrency control on dictionary cache locks, library cache locks, and the transactions.

What is actually Dictionary Cache locks and Library Cache locks ? - Why these are required on RAC ?

GES locks control access to data files (not the data blocks) - WHY ?
