Generate CSR to renew our cert and install

We had a cert expire on us on our iStore server. Does anyone have a document that shows how to create a CSR and install the certificate? We are running

Oracle Linux Server release 5.8 (Carthage)

Linux 2.6.39-200.32.1.el5uek #1 SMP Wed Sep 26 21:00:27 PDT 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Linux version 2.6.39-200.32.1.el5uek (mockbuild@ca-build56.us.oracle.com) (gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-52)) #1 SMP Wed Sep 26 21:00:27 PDT 2012

We are also running Nginx on this so i'm not sure if the CSR comes from Apache or Nginx. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
