General SQL error ORA 03114

Hi all,

On a windows 7 64-bit machine I installed Oracle 8i & BDE 5.1. This showed me an error

General SQL Error.
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

Hence I uninstalled Oracle 8i and tried Oracle 9, but this did not work either.

Do you know what version of Oracle does support Windows 7-64 bit?

Kindly help me on this.
