Gemplus Cards

Hi,
we want to buy some cards, but we don't know which ones. We thougth about Schlumberger Cards, but they need a SDK. Has anyone used GemXpresso 211/PK card? Is it necessary a SDK to develope the applets and to load them inside the card?
