Gdefault1_OID.DBF growing too much in space

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please tell me about the GDEFAULT1_OID.DBF.

This database file is growing in space like anything.

It is currently taking 18GB in space and growing.

I don't remember seeing this Database file while creating the Schemas and after creating the schemas.

Can you please tell me what it is?.
How to control it's ever growing space?. How to clean up the space that it has occupied.

I found this issue started after the server was rebooted to do a physical maintenance on the network. no Patches were applied to this server.
