GCC for 64 bit Solaris 10 x86

Does anyone know what the status of the GCC port to 64 bit Solaris 10 is?

I see on gcc.gnu.org that there are two developement branches for it, but it's not at all clear what the status of either of them are. 64 bit support does not appear to be in the Sunfreeware package gcc-3.3.2, nor in the 3.4.3 source from gcc.gnu.org.

I tried compiling the Sol10 x86_64 development branch, but it didn't "just compile" and I didn't spend any more time on it. Has oneone successfully created a 64 bit object with gcc on Solaris 10?
