Java HotSpot Virtual Machine

Hi,

We are using jdk 1.4.3 on solaris. We run resin server for our application. It runs faster as long as it's up but suddenly stops responding after 2 hours wih minimal load. I enabled the gc log to track any memory leaks in the application.

Does this give any idea of memory leak. Why even after eden collection, it always shows more memory. For example, the last but one line says before GC, it was 56645k and after GC it came down to 40712k but the next line again starts from 56966k instead 40712k. Is this a symptom for memory leak? I never see Full GC and the server stops responding even I have almost 300MB left. Please advice on how to set these GC parameters for better performance.
