Hello All,
I want to gather all table statistics in the database. I found that in Oracle 11g, stats are automatically collected, which we can see from "DBA_AUTOTASK_CLIENT" and we can view the table statistics from "dba_tab_statistics". Is this sufficient for table statistics or the statistics are auto collected only when the statistics are found to be stale for an object or if any DDL command used against the object.
Do we need to separately create jobs with DBMS_STATS package for collecting statistics?? I am confused. Please help.
I am new to these, so please advise.
