Hi guys,
I have a problem with automatic task gather dababase stats.
Since 31 July failed and I have to investigate this problem.
I saw that it scheduled every day with window schedule (in the weekdays from 10pm up to 02am, in weekend from 6am up to 2am).
Sometimes (it happened two times in the last week) it locks my application and I have to kill job to unlock application.
I saw that procedure gather_database_stats_job_proc is running when application slows down.
I would like to have more information about this task:
1. On which object procedure stops.
2. Why it happened only in the last week (What have I to investigate it)
3. Is there a workaround to skip object(s) that locks procedure?
4. Are there logs that can be analyzed? If yes ,which one?
This is the environment:
Windows 2008 R2 32Gb Ram
Oracle 11.2.0.3 Standard Edition
