game speed
807607Nov 28 2006 — edited Nov 29 2006I am currently testing my game on a 3Ghz computer. When I try this game on like a 1.5 Ghz computer the game play is obviously slower. I am currently controling things like the monster's speeds with loop iterations like say the monster moves once every 100 loop iterations.
Is there anything I can do to be smart about this, meaning can I code for different CPU speeds and make the game perform better for a slower computer...or is this one of those things where you go 'hey get a better computer'?
