FTP Adapter using FTPS to Windows IIS server on port other than 21

user6716149Aug 12 2015 — edited Aug 12 2015

We need to use FTPS (FTP over SSL), not SFTP, to connect a SOA composite to a Windows IIS FTP Site.

We configured an FTPAdapter outbound connection pool to use FTPS, and have a valid Oracle Wallet. Both Port and Secure Port are set to 21.

In IIS , the FTP site is set up to require SSL.

We test the composite, which just does a List Directory, and it succeeds. The diagnostic trace shows that the Keystore Manager, Trust Manager and SSLConnectionFactory are all invoked, so we know SSL is being used.

The catch is that in production, the Firewall will not be open on port 21.

So we have to use another port.

When we change the FTP connection pool to use a SecurePort other than 21, we get the following  Error :

"Could not invoke operation FileListing against the FTP Adapter due to :

Binding JCA-11407

Connection closed error

Connection closed for Host: FTPHostName

Please make sure the that ftp Server is up"

A non-SOA application is however able to connect with SSL over the Secure Port that is NOT 21.
