frmweb.exe memory leak - windows 2003 sp1

I have recently converted our forms application from version 6i (client server) to 10g (10.1.2.0.2). The conversion has been reasonaly smooth apart from a problem I have been having with frmweb.exe consuming large amounts of memory.
This problem seems to occur when I attempt to exit forms and jinitiator hangs. When this happens, I am forced to end the jinitator process on the client and this results in the corresponding frmweb.exe process on the server to stay active and consume memory.
Has anyone got any ideas about how to resolve this issue?
