FRM-92150 Web Cient Too New
239338Oct 15 2003 — edited Oct 16 2003Let me first say. I've read every post on Metalink for this subject AND every article on Metalink. None of it helps me to resolve this issue.
I have a fresh machine where I installed Forms 6i Server Release 2 with Patch 14. I have downloaded and installed Apache 2.0.47. I have sucessfully configured the two run properly. If (and again I stress IF) I run with IE50=Jinitiator or IE50=native AND I run in my LAN (http://<local_server_name>/dev60cgi/ifcgi60.exe?config=sob) everything about my app works fine.
FYI my sob config looks like this in formsweb.cfg:
[sob]
pageTitle=SOB
width=975
height=525
form=d:\sob\opening_menu.fmx
lookandfeel=Generic
As I said, on my LAN it works fine (no error and the app runs).
My problem is that if I try to run on the real WEB (http:www.<mydomain>.com/dev60cgi/ifcgi60.exe?config=sob), I get an "FRM-92150 Web client is too new" message box. When I enter this URL with formsweb.cfg having IE5=Jinitiator on computer that has no other Jinitiator (or even a Java VM) installed, I am prompted thru the wizard to load Jinitiator 1.3.1.9 (which is then loaded sucessfully). Of course if I have formsweb.cfg have IE5=native I must load a JVM (I've tried 1.3.x and 1.4.x and both give me the same FRM-92150). All of my installs are "virgin". I did modify registry.dat to point to my icons, formsweb.cfg to add my config and I pointed the baseHTML's directly to the oracle home.
I've done the simple things like reloaded the browser, removed browser temp files, rebooted the machine and followed all the posts and articles on this subject that could apply (from Metalink).
I'm pulling my hair out here.
What have I missed or done wrong?
TIA,
Ed
