dba-developerMar 4 2014 — edited Mar 6 2014

Hi Experts,

Currently our application is on Oracle 10g,11g database enterprise edition. Wanted to know what is the free ware version of oracle (in 11g and 10g) which we do not need to require to take a licence off (note we will using it for our product at commercial levle) .As we have a need to reduce the costing and go for free ware oracle version. I read on the technology notes got the express edition. But dont know that if i use if for commercial purpose then do i need to licence it or not or can i use it or not in this way. Also what all thing will differ in the freeware and enterpise edition(licenced) database version software and the impact on the performance of the db.

Also please let me know the details of licencing of oracle database software for different version .

Thanks & Regards
