Forms to Java

My teams have legacy Forms applications (with 50-100 forms) that we must continue to maintain. We've just begun to consider converting them (as opposed to rewriting them) to java. What can you tell me about any existing forms2java tools? Wasn't there a forms2java JDeveloper extension? Is the generated java code relatively easy to modify by an experienced Forms / inexperienced Java developer as application change requests come in?
