Forms / Reports 11g local integration on Windows XP

Hi Folks,

This is (hopefully) a yes/no sort of question and I thought I'd place in a new thread so that anyone else looking can find the answer.

We've installed Forms / Reports builders 11.1.1.3 on a local machine (Windows XP SP3) and everything works. What I can't get to work is the integration of Forms calling the Reports. Forms works fine , Reports work fine but our local Forms won't call the local Reports.

I've got the diagnostic Form from support (trcrro1111.fmb) and in the output file it says it's unable to find my PC on the network.

However, re-reading the installation instructions here :

It says that this doesn't work on XP.

Is this the case and we can't get a local self-contained environment going ?
