Forms 9i Forms Builder - Mice? Rats!
455713Nov 9 2005 — edited Nov 9 2009We have been upgraded from NT to XP Pro at last (not a bad thing, all in all), but I am having issues with some programs, including Oracle Forms 9i.
Forms 6i on NT happily scrolled in the Object Navigator using the mouse wheel. This is particularly useful to me as I am partially-sighted and have screen magnification.
In Forms 9i, however, and some other (mostly older) apps, the mouse wheel has no effect on the scrollbar. I have to often move across the screen to the scrollbar (which because of the screen magnifier removes what I am scrolling from view!) and drag or click it as per the olde pre-wheel days of yore. Or use the cursor keys, if appropriate.
I have eliminated the (PS/2) mouse as the problem by trying both a Logitech and an Intellimouse with their dedicated drivers. Both refuse to scroll in the Object Navigator. Colleagues have the same issue, so it is also not the screen magnification software (Zoomtext).
Does anyone else have this problem?
Any thoughts would be greatly welcomed.
