Forms 6i - Need to call serial port with cash drawer attached

Hi All,

Have also posted this at Metalink so if it sound familiar you know why.

I am creating a POS system, I need to open a cash drawer that is attached to the serial port. Can any one help me with this. I assume it is an ocx call or activex call other than that I am lost. Have found a VB program on open source that does it and I could always resort to calling it from forms. However, I am not happy with that solution for obvious reason.
