Hoping someone from Oracle will answer this. Our company wants to switch from using IE11 to using MS Edge as its standard. Is running Oracle Forms 12.2.4.1.0 with MS Edge (w IE11 support/tabs) still qualified for Oracle Support? The cert matrix shows Edge with "Java Web Start" as certified, but as we all know, Web Start is already deprecated (gone starting with JDK9). Was hoping that Edge's "IE11 support mode" just wasn't around yet when Oracle published the .pdf.

I have personally run Oracle Forms and WebCenter Content in Edge's "IE11 Support Mode" (IE11 tabs) and they appear to work perfectly. We rarely have a need to use Oracle Support with Forms, but if we did, I would hate to have them say they won't help us just because we are running on "Edge" (which in IE11 mode is literally running IE11 and making its tabs appear in the same shell as the Edge tabs)
If this is "not recommended", what would Oracle's recommendation be? Go through the trouble of implementing legacy Java Web Start and restricting JDK's to 8? Or switch to the whole Client/Server desktop JVM solution (FSAL)?
Sure seems like Edge+IE compatibility is the most elegant way to "keep doing what you've been doing"
Thanks in advance!
