for priting amount in a cheque

i want to print amount in a cheque in this form.

**1,00,000.00
**3,000.10
**5,235.22

i have taken a numeric value and converted the value into
character and calculated the lenght of the character and used
LPAD.but the result is in this form.

**100000
**3000.1
**5235.22

Can anybody help me.

i will be very grateful to u.
