Font Problem in forms 10g

527925Mar 9 2008 — edited Jun 10 2008
Hello All,

I wanted to use unicode font (regional language) for one of my forms. I installed that font in OS (Windows). I could see that font in fonts folder os system ..but couldnt see that font in forms ......

i added that font name in C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\registry.dat

default.fontMap.appFontnames=Courier New,Courier,courier,System,Terminal,Fixed,Fixedsys,Times,Times New Roman,MS Sans Serif,Arial,DevLys 010,Shruti
default.fontMap.javaFontnames=Courier New,Courier,courier,System,Terminal,Fixed,Fixedsys,Times,Times New Roman,MS Sans Serif,Arial,DevLys 010,Shruti

i used some weird methods and got very weird result....

i cut all the fonts from system font folder to another folder and then again pasted them into the same font folder ...
after that i could see fonts in forms list which were not visible earlier ...but i couldnt see the standard fonts which were visible earlier .....
By doing that i got the font which i wanted in drop down of property pallete of text item. But when i went to layout to see the canvas ...and selected that text item, i was getting arial as the font.

so what happened is when i executed this form i could not type in regional language....i was getting question marks for all the regional characters ...but i could type correct english.

I m not getting is it forms issue or am i doing some thing wrong?

Pls give me some guidance.

Regrads,

Jinesh
