fmthard: partition overlaps error

807557May 13 2008 — edited May 15 2008
I've installed the latest Solaris version.

This is my uname -a output: SunOS 5.10 Generic_127127-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210
This machine has two identical drives, two Segate 146GB.

I'm tryint to configure a RAID 1 and have configure the first drive which include the slices for the meta databases.
when i execute the command to copy the disk parameters of the first disk to the second disk i get the error:

fmthard: Partition 1 overlaps partition 3. Overlap is allowed
only on partition on the full disk partition).

This is the disk layout of the first disk:

partition> print
Volume: fina
Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 49780 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

What could be causing this? i've ben able to execute that same command on other solaris machines without a problem.

Thank you in advanced.
