Floating text field

Hello there,

I would like to make a text field te edit name of a tab in a JTabbedPane. I want the text field to be positioned exactly over the tab. This leaves me with two questions:

* Should I use an undecorated JDialog containing only a JTextField or is ther an easier way?
* How can I determine the position of the tab?

Can anyone help?
