Flat File with no file extension

In Warehouse builder I import a flatfile with no file extension (eg. 'filename').

When running it with the SQL Loader, an error occurs that it cannot find 'filename.dat'
When looking into the *.ctl file, the flatfile is referenced without the .dat extension.
