FK names when Engineer a Supertype/Subtype entity as table per child

Robert HuberJan 23 2025

For illustration I have a screenshot of the model and the relational model attached.

When I engineer the Supertype/Subtype entity in Subtree generation: Table per child, I get the naming of the foreign keys in such a way, that only the constraint based on the relationship to the subtype gets the subtypes name, in this case starting with profile_period_promotion_ …
The other 3 constraint get the name of the Supertype, i. e. starting with profile_promotion_ …

As it is a table per child implementation, I would like to have for these 3 constraints the name of the subtype, as this is what is engineered to for the relational model.

Is this possible?

TIA, Robert

Your ENTRA users will get authenticated via JSON Web Tokens, and their Entra roles will determine which ORDS REST APIs they can hit.

When they hit an endpoint, it'll execute code in the database as the database user that owns the schema where the REST API is defined, not as Entra defiend end user. In fact, the Entra users won't have accounts in the database (they could, but wont' need to).

The :current_user field as far as ords is concerned would be the corresponding oauth2 client or JWT issued for the authorizied session.

Your prehook should be able to alter the session to set the context that would put your RLS/VPD security policy in play.
