Firefox & JRE 1.4.2/1.5.0 exposes internal IP through NAT

I don't why this is occuring but when using Sun Java 1.4.2/1.5.0 within Mozilla Firefox 1.0 on Windows XP SP2, i am finding that it will expose my internal IP which is normally hidden via my NAT firewall by my router.

Disabling java from within Firefox will stop the problem occuring, and the problem does not seem to arise when using Sun Java from with the latest version of Internet Explorer 6, what is happening?
